The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications from eligible candidates for more than 500 vacancies in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The last date to apply is May 14th. Interested candidates can read the eligibility criteria below.

The recruitment campaign aims to fill vacancies for the post of Assistant Commandant. The notification is available on the UPSC website upsconline.nic.in.

Vacancy Details:

The last date to apply for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment is May 14th. Interested candidates should submit their application forms by this date without fail. Both male and female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandant. A total of 506 vacancies for Assistant Commandant will be filled under this recruitment campaign. The vacancy details are as follows:

• Border Security Force (BSF): 186 vacancies
• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 120 vacancies
• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 100 vacancies
• Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 58 vacancies
• Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 42 vacancies

Application Process:

Before submitting the online form on upsconline.nic.in, new candidates need to complete a one-time registration (OTR) process using the link provided on the same website. After completion of OTR, they can proceed to fill out the application form.

Candidates who have already completed OTR for UPSC CAPF or any other examination conducted by the Commission do not need to register again, as the validity of OTR is lifelong on the UPSC website. Such candidates can simply provide their registration details and proceed to fill out the application form.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment:

Nationality:

• Candidates must be Indian citizens. Non-citizens may be appointed or recruited by the Central Government after written consent.

Age Limit:

• The age of candidates should be at least 20 years and not more than 25 years as of August 1, 2024. In other words, their birth date should be before August 2, 1999, and not after August 1, 2004. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable as per government rules.

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

Application Fee:

• The application fee for UPSC CAPF is Rs. 200/-. Candidates belonging to female, SC, and ST categories are exempted from paying the examination fee.
